Whatsapp enhancements.

The Whatsapp enhansements add several improvements to the New WhatsApp Beta demo app for windows 10 and 11.
The add-on was developed by Professor Sulaiman Al Qusaimi.

This is a beta version that is still missing a lot of features, and it differs significantly from the desktop version of WhatsApp desktop, which is similar to the web version.

I am pleased to offer you my new add-on WhatsappEnhansements for NVDA, the function of which will make some improvements to the new WhatsApp Beta blind user WhatsApp application, which was recently released for Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.

The add-on includes a number of keyboard shortcuts to make it easier to access various parts of the software, as well as minor improvements to the pronunciation of elements.

List of available commands

The commands can be changed in the "Input Gestures", WhatsAPP subsection.

• Alt + U: Go to the last open chat message.
• Alt + M: Go to the list of messages.
• Alt + I: Open the information about the chat.
• Alt + T: Read the chat header.
• Control + O: Activate attachment list.
• Alt + C: Go to the list of chats.
• Alt + E: Go to message text input field, if there is an open chat.
• Control + N: Create a new chat.
• Control + R: Start recording a voice message, pressing it again will send a message, if there is text in the editor field, then it will send a text message. .
• Control + Shift + R: Cancel voice message recording.
• Alt + Shift + C: Make a voice call.
• Alt + Shift + V: Make a video call.
• Alt + O: Activate the menu of additional application options.

Developer Note

Before I go on to list the updates to version 0.5, I'd like to point out that this version may be the last of the add-ons, as another developer has already made an add-on for the app and included everything that the WhatsappEnhansements add-on contains, and even added other nice features.
It is out of the question to spend my own effort on the same work, because the other developer has taken over the implementation of much of the necessary tools and shortcuts for the commands, as well as further support.
It is OK for me to stop now.

1. Corrected problems with reading biblical characters and images.
