Create professional videos with ease! This NVDA add-on allows you to create slideshow videos from photos and videos with audio, as well as running text/ticker videos.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- NVDA+Shift+3 - Create video from photos/videos and audio
- NVDA+Shift+4 - Create running text video
Features
- Photo/Video Slideshow: Combine photos and videos into a single video with audio
- Captions: Add captions to individual photos and videos
- Running Text: Create scrolling, bouncing, or static text videos with audio
- Transitions: Various transitions between clips (crossfade, zoom, roll, etc.)
- Background Removal: Remove green/blue backgrounds from photos
- Custom Backgrounds: Black, white, or custom image background
- Ken Burns Effect: Zoom effect on photos
- Watermark: Add text watermark to your videos
- Project Management: Save and load projects
- Progress Dialog: Pause, resume, or cancel video creation
- Quality Settings: SD, HD, or Full HD output
Requirements
Important: This add-on requires ffmpeg to be installed in the add-on directory.
Place the following files in the
ffmpeg folder within the add-on directory:

How to Use
Creating a Photo/Video Slideshow
- Press NVDA+Shift+3
- Add photos and videos using the buttons:
- Add photos: Select image files
- Add videos: Select video files
- Add folder: Add all media from a folder
- Set captions for each item if desired
- Configure quick settings (orientation, size, transitions, background, etc.)
- Click OK
- Select an audio file
- Choose where to save the video
- Wait for the progress dialog to complete
Creating a Running Text Video
- Press NVDA+Shift+4
- Type or paste your text
- Select an audio file
- Choose text style (Scroll, Bounce, or Static)
- Configure colors and font size
- Click OK
- Choose where to save the video
- Wait for the progress dialog to complete

Audio
Settings
You can configure default settings in NVDA's settings dialog (NVDA+Ctrl+G) under "Video Maker":
- Display mode: Blur, Fill, or Fit
- Orientation: Landscape, Portrait, or Square
- Size: SD, HD, or Full HD
- Ken Burns effect: Enable/disable zoom effect
- Transition: Choose transition type and duration
- Caption: Position, text color, background color, font size
- Quality: Low, Medium, or High
- Watermark: Text and position
- Background removal: Enable/disable
- Background mode: Black, White, or Custom image
- Running text style: Scroll, Bounce, or Static
Project Management
You can save and load projects to reuse your photo/video selections:
- Save project: Saves the current media list with captions
- Load project: Loads a previously saved project
Projects are saved in Documents\VideoMakerProjects folder.
Progress Dialog
During video creation, a progress dialog appears with:
- Progress bar: Shows completion percentage
- Status text: Shows current operation
- Pause button: Pause the process
- Resume button: Resume the process
- Cancel button: Cancel the process
Requirements
- NVDA 2023.1 or later
- Windows 7 or later
- ffmpeg (included in add-on folder)
Known Issues
- Long videos with many clips may take time to process
- Background removal works best with green/blue backgrounds
- Some video formats may require re-encoding, which takes longer
