Introduction

The main feature of this add-on is to switching between many voices, as well as toggling between IBM TTS and sapi 5 synthesizer using hotkeys. There are ten slots for switching voices, means you can switch between ten different voices, or use one voice with different settings for diffent cases, quickly and easily.

Installation and usage

This add-on installs like any standard add-on. Just run and follow the screen. After installing, restart NVDA, then:

• Press Alt+Shift+ any number from 1 to 0 (example **Alt+Shift+1) on number row, and remember the number you pressed. This is the slot where your voice settings will be saved in next steps.
• Switch to a voice of your choice, then configure everything you want, such as voice rate, voice pitch....
• Press Alt+Shift+S to save your settings. You should hear NVDA Says "saved".
• From now on, press the hotkey you pressed before configuring voice parameters, (example Alt+Shift+1) will switch to slot 1, and use the settings you've made for that slot before.

To toggle between sapi 5 and IBM TTS synthesizer, press ** key. This feature uses the existing settings for those synthesizers, so you should make any changes that fix your need before pressing the ** key to toggle it.

All of add-on hotkeys can be changed via Input Gestures dialog, in the VNSwitching category.
