Remote Audio Access 0.3.1

Streams the remote computer's system output audio through an existing NVDA Remote / Remote Access connection. It does not capture the microphone.

The Modern build for NVDA 2026.1+ is symmetric: the same add-on can be installed on both modern computers and either peer can request the other peer's system audio.

The Legacy build targets Windows 7 + NVDA 2023.2 with NVDA Remote 2.6.x.

Controller commands

• NVDA+F3: toggle remote system audio.
• NVDA+Shift+F3: request the remote test tone.
• NVDA+Ctrl+F3: select the next remote output endpoint.
• NVDA+Alt+F3: restore automatic endpoint selection.

Quality: Auto, 16, 24, 32, 48, or 64 kbit/s. Manual modes are fixed. Auto mode adapts using latency measured through the same Remote channel.

Opus is preferred. If the Opus runtime cannot be prepared, the stream falls back to the proven PCM16 24 kHz mono path.
