NVDA Theemes Manager:
What is NTM?
NTM stand for(NVDA Theems Manager) will make your computing life full of music and tones, NTM is simply an add-on for NVDA that gives NVDA audio theem feature.
But what do you meen by this?
Well, it make NVDA play different tones when focuse on an object, this tones is a custom tone from your choise. we will see this later.
How I can run it?
The add-on is packaged on a single file caled 'NVDA Theem Manager.nvda-addon', as you can guess this is a nvda-addon file, you can open it via windows explorer, or via NVDA Add-on manager instead, and install it normaly.
What next?
After the addon has been installed successfully and nvda has been restarted, press hotkey: NVDA plus Shift plus m, to open the NTM window, from this window you can do the following:
1. Use:
Pressing this button will activate the selected theem, after you press the "Yes" button, the selected theem will become the active theem. also you can navigate the available theems on the list, and when you interest on one you can press enter to activate it instead.
2. Add:
this button allows you to add an audio theem to your instaled theems list, after adding the theem you can use it immediately. just choose the theem from your file system and press ok to have it, the theem must correspond with the specifications mentioned on adding your own theem section.
3. Remove:
As you can expect this will delete the selected theem from the list, notice that you can not restore deleted theems.
4. Help:
Press this button to open this document, alternativly you can press f1 to do the same thing.
others are self-describtive.
Add-on Hotkeys:
NVDA plus shift plus m: Opens NTM Window from which you can add, remove, or set your active theem.
NVDA plus control plus l: play the theem loop music.
Theems:
By default the add-on comes with one default theem. an there is a no theem option wich will obviously disable the addon. also you can make your own theem and add it.
Making your own theem:
To make your own theem please follow the following steps exactly, because the add-on will ignore any none standered theem make sure your theem is correspond with the specifications bellow:
1. The theem is standered zip archive.
2. All audio files on the theem must be 'wav audio files'.
3. the theem must not contain none audio files.
4. The files names are case sensitive.
5. To ignore run-time errors: all audio files are required. if you want to ignore one, plase one silence wave file with the same name.
Your theem must contain the following audio files, the names are case sensitive, and self-describtive:
button.wav = When focusing on a button
checkbox.wav = When focusing on a checkbox unchecked
checkbox_checked.wav = When focusing on a checkbox checked
clock.wav = When focusing on the clock on system tray
combobox.wav = When focusing on a combobox
caret.wav = When editing text, for example when typing a letter or when caret cerser moves to next line.
edit_text.wav = When focusing on a editable text
first.wav = When focusing on a first item on list or menu
last.wav = When focusing on a last item on list or menu
link.wav = When focusing on a link
listitem.wav = When focusing on a list item
loop.wav = a loop music, Add-on will play it when the hotkey: NVDA plus control plus l Activated.
menu_item.wav = When focusing on a menu item
protected.wav = When focusing on a protected edit text, on password field.
radiobutton.wav = When focusing on a radioButton
silence.wav = add-on will play it when the focuse object has no special audio file.
splitbutton.wav = When focusing on a split button
tab.wav = When focusing on a tab control
treeviewitem.wav = When focusing on a tree view item
Steps to make your own theem:
1. create new folder an name it with your theem name, and plase your audio files on it.
2. create another folder and name it what ever you want.
3. now cut the first folder, and paste it on the second folder.
4. Compresse the second folder (parant folder) with windows explorer or any compressing tool.
5. now yor theem is ready, you can distribute it, and use it,
Note: the add-on directory contain a folder named examples, it is definitely preferable to look at there before creating your theem.
