Custom Speak Typed Characters and Words

This add-on allows customization of how NVDA speaks typed characters and words. Users can cycle through three modes for both: off, on, and only in editable controls.

Usage

Once installed, you can cycle through the modes by pressing the corresponding gestures:

• NVDA+2: Toggle speaking typed characters.
• NVDA+3: Toggle speaking typed words.

Modes

• Off: NVDA will not speak typed characters or words.
• On: NVDA will speak all typed characters or words.
• Only in editable controls: NVDA will only speak typed characters or words when focus is on an editable control.
