# Address book for NVDA #
Welcome to the NVDA Address Book Addon! This is a plugin specially designed to help visually impaired people manage their contact list more easily and efficiently. With our Addon you can add, edit and delete contacts as well as search for names and contact information quickly and simply. In addition, we also provide you with the ability to export and import your contact list, so that you can share it or migrate it to another device. NVDA's Address Book Addon is easy to use and offers an intuitive interface, making it an ideal choice for anyone needing to manage their contact list efficiently.
Here are step-by-step instructions for installing the Address Book Add-on in NVDA:
In the Preferences menu, Settings... of NVDA in the Contact directory option for NVDA. You can configure the following options, which are unchecked by default:
You can call up the Address Book in two ways:
you will have access to the main window of the addon. In this window you can register, edit, remove and search contacts. It also has the options to import csv, export csv and delete the entire agenda. These three options are disabled by default.

The editing window will open with focus on the name field. Just edit and press ALT+E to save changes or ALT+F to cancel.
In the Contact List window you can use the search field to find a particular contact. You can search by fields:
After selecting the field, just inform the search item, and press the ALT+B shortcut, which will display the search result in the list. If nothing is returned, just update using the shortcut ALT+A.

All windows of the Contact Agenda add-on are closed with the escape key.
When performing a search and the search item is not found, NVDA does not announce the message ('No record was found!')) that appears in the display list.
