Search Guide
The Search Dialog (S in Command Layer) is your discovery hub in Accessify Play. It's designed to provide fast, deep access to Spotify's vast database.
Search Filters
At the top of the dialog, a Combobox determines the type of content you are looking for:
- Song: Search for individual tracks.
- Album: Search for full albums.
- Artist: Search for musician or band profiles.
- Playlist: Search for public playlists.
- Podcast: Search for podcast shows.
Interacting with Results
The search results list is interactive. The action triggered when you press Enter (or double-click) depends on the item type:
- Song: Immediately plays the track (and continues to the next song in the album context if possible).
- Artist: Opens the Discography Dialog, listing the artist's albums and singles.
- Album: Opens the list of tracks within that album.
- Playlist: Opens the list of tracks within that playlist.
- Podcast: Opens the list of episodes for that podcast.
Tip: If there are many results, scroll to the bottom to find the "Load More" button.
Context Menu & Shortcuts
Press the Applications key (or Shift+F10, or right-click) on any result to open a context menu with advanced options. The available options change dynamically:
Quick Shortcuts (Inside Dialog)
Alt+P: Play the selected item.
Alt+Q: Add to Queue.
Alt+F: Follow Artist (if item is an artist).
Alt+D: View Discography (if item is an artist).
Alt+L: Copy Spotify Link.
