Customizing the Command Layer

Accessify Play gives you full freedom to customize the shortcuts within the Command Layer to suit your workflow.

How to Access the Editor

  1. Activate the Command Layer by pressing NVDA+G.
  2. Press F2 to open the Command Layer Editor.

Using the Editor

The editor dialog displays a list of all available commands. For each command, you can see: * Command: The name of the command (e.g., Play/Pause). * Shortcut: The key to press while in the layer (e.g., p). * Keep Open: Whether the layer stays active after the command is executed. * Description: A brief explanation of what the command does.

Editing a Command

  1. Select a command from the list using the arrow keys.
  2. Press the Edit... button or press Enter.
  3. In the dialog that appears:
  4. Click OK to save.

Resetting to Defaults

If you wish to revert all shortcuts to their original default settings, press the Reset to Defaults button and confirm your choice.

Applying Changes

When you are done making changes, press the Close button. Accessify Play may ask you to restart NVDA to fully apply the new configuration.
